Q&A

Q: Who/What has been your best teacher in business? A: Probably all of the great assistants I've worked with over the years.

Q: What's the last song you listened to?

A: Touch of Grey - covered by War on Drugs

Q: What's the first thing you notice about people?

A: Their shoes - it's an old habit from when I worked as a hotel doorman. The guys who had been doing it for years taught me to judge people coming into the hotel by their shoes. It's pretty reliable. Ironically, I don't have great shoes.

Q: Who's the last person you talked to on the phone?

A: My dad

Q: What are words you live by?

A: Things always work out how they are supposed to.

Q: What's your super secret power?

A: I have an uncanny ability to stay calm under pressure. Plus, I can juggle.

Q: One thing you can't show up to a shoot without, besides a camera :)

A: Coffee and a good crew!

Q: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

A: Wrangling sheep and alpacas

Q: What inspires you?

A: My kids inspire me with their insatiable curiosity and natural creativity.

Q: In-N-Out or Shake Shack?

A: In-N-Out

Blue Cross Shield

This was a fun campaign I created for Blue Cross Blue Shield and McGarryBowen. We made a huge effort to cast real families and real people who do the activities we were shooting, often on their own properties and work places. We literally shot dozens of unique scenarios over four days, so it was a bit of a whirlwind. But also a super fun challenge.

Coors Light

The funny thing about this summer Coors Light campaign I shot for Arc Worldwide was that we ended up, for scheduling reasons, having to shoot in Vancouver in October in the rain. Thank god we had some very hardy models and an incredible lighting crew to bring the sun!
